It has been the ambition of the Trustees, strengthened by re-structuring and the introduction of new board members, to widen its horizons. The opportunity of a new collaboration is one that Catherine Gillen, Director of The Brownston Gallery has embraced with evident enthusiasm and is reflected in the presentation of the selected work on show.

"We have a wonderful environment in the South West which attracts the very best of artistic talent but whilst there are a huge number of informal art societies, the Academy is unique in its work to promote professional artists in both the Fine and Applied Arts. We are so proud to be chosen as one of the Academy’s partners and are delighted to host what we hope will become an annual exhibition of work by a selection of Academicians."
