Artmill Gallery Director Isabell Peirson observed, “It is always a pleasure for us to host this exciting group, named as such in 1944 by a group of artists who met at Plymouth School of Art. They showed their progressive style to a city, though flattened by the Luftwaffe, a city hungry for culture, in the process of rebuilding and looking to the future.
Always an innovative group, its numbers have grown in strength over the years with members from across the region, from Penzance to London and as far afield as France.”
